Exoplanet Explorers
What would it be like to stand on the surface of another planet? We teamed up with a group of astrophysicists to create a scientifically accurate, virtual reality tour of six planets discovered outside our solar system. So strap on a VR headset, surf the giant waves of Kepler-62e, and gaze across the lava fields of 55 Cancri e.
Working directly with cutting-edge astrophysicists at Exeter University, and the creative team from We The Curious, this project bridged science, entertainment and education.
Excitingly, as well as being released online as an interactive 360 video, it was also shown at We The Curious’ domed planetarium.
This video has also been featured no1 on YouTube’s VR channel, and NASA’s website.
The video has since amassed 16 million views.
